If you are a huge fan of all things football, Return Man 4 just might float your boat. Made by ESPN, Return Man 4 – Linebacker is the successor to its popular older brother, Return Man 3.

In this variation of the game, you play defense. Just like in real football, your main objective is to thwart your opponents’ efforts. Rather than you being in the offensive position, your job is to stop the opposing team from reaching your touchdown line.
Gameplay:
Your job is to break through the blockers and intercept the incoming running back as he makes a run for your touchline. The further up the yard line you tackle him, the more points you earn. So make sure that you tackle him as quickly as possible while you avoid getting tackled yourself.
As you advance to higher levels, your triumphs enable you to acquire additional skills, like swimming, bull rushing and shucking. The bad news is , the number of blockers also rises, which makes your job of stopping the running back a lot more difficult. Things get more problematic after you learn your second skill.
The more touchdowns you let through, the more lives (called ‘defensive stands’) that you waste . The moment you exhaust you ‘defensive stands’ you have to start from the beginning.
#Remember: Completing the first few levels will be a walk in the park. Things however become more complicated as you advance to higher levels. The opposing team not only becomes a lot stronger but also more strategically adept.
Controls:
Its controls are more or less like its predecessor’s:
I, J, L and K to move in different directions (alternatively, use arrow buttons).
Space bar – Dive Tackle (or continue).
M – Mute.
Special moves (In order to activate these moves you will have to stop the running back first) :
A – Swim.
S – Shuck.
D – Bull Rush

Design:
The most outstanding feature of this game – kick buttowski, I would say, is its simplicity. At first glance, everything looks simple. Its graphics are simple yet elegant.
Physics:
The game’s developers did not skimp on quality either. Unlike other games where movement looks unnatural, they have gone the extra mile to ensure that motion is smooth and looks realistic.
CONCLUSION:
Despite its simple controls, Return Man 4 could also prove to be difficult.
On one hand, it has very simple controls but it is can also be difficult because how well you do at the game largely depends on your individual skill level. So increase your defense, don’t let anyone pass and unlock all the special moves. This is what Return Man 4 is all about.
